Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Saanenmöser

One of the great joys of a trip to Gstaad is riding the scenic GoldenPass Line on an extraordinary journey in their three different trains such as the Panoramic or the Belle Epoch with spacious windows to view the breathtaking scenery. It’s a never-ending spectacle of mountain passes and bucolic villages between Montreux and Luzern. As the train ascends from Montreux into the highlands above Lac Leman (Lake Geneva) you’ll be riding the steepest railway in Switzerland without the benefit of a cogwheel. Arriving in Saanenmöser, your hotel is adjacent to the small train station and just a 60-second walk away—but they even offer to pick you up at the station if desired. Check in, take a tour of this wonderful resort, make your dinner reservations, and plan your eventful stay. D

Day 2 – Saanenmöser, Gstaad, and Launensee

While enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you’ll have time to plot your day’s activities. Will it be tennis, mountain biking, hiking, or relaxing walks close to the hotel? The choice is yours. If a visit to Gstaad is in your plans for some walking and shopping and sightseeing, there is convenient train and bus service for the 14-minute ride, and the trip is included with your Gstaad Card. If you want to venture further, we suggest taking the bus to Lauenen and walking on to Luenensee—a beautiful picnic spot. Afternoon is a great time to visit the spa, pool, and fitness center. Enjoy your second 5-course dinner at the hotel. BD

Day 3 – Saanenmöser, Gstaad, Glacier 3000

There’s plenty of time today to take in a more strenuous hike to Iffigenalp or Turbach, and the hotel is happy to provide you with a hiking map and directions. For our favorite alpine adventure, take the bus to the Col du Pillon and ascend the aerial tram to Glacier 3000 and the Diablerets Glacier. Dinner at the hotel. BD

Day 4 – Depart Saanenmöser for return trip or onward travel

Following breakfast at the hotel, there is time for a little shopping in Gstaad trendy Promenade or maybe even quick dip in the soothing waters of the pool or a morning game of tennis. With your included transportation you can continue your experience on the GoldenPass Line which will take you back to the airport or any destination within Switzerland. B
