Dave Simpson, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Dave is a natural adventurer who has lived in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, the mountains of Snowdonia, and the coastal cliffs of Dorset in the UK. He now lives with his family in the lower reaches of the Chamonix valley. He holds the International Mountain Leader Award, the Mountain Instructor Award and is also a BCU 5 star Sea Kayak Leader. He has been involved in all aspects the outdoor industry, and has worked at the UK National Mountain Centre - Plas y Brenin, as well as heading up Outdoor Education departments in Boarding Schools in the UK.

Dave has led many expeditions across the globe, sea kayaking round islands, mountain biking across mountain ranges, as well as trekking and climbing in Europe, the Americas, North Africa and the greater ranges of the Himalayas.

The outdoor environment is Dave’s passion, believing that even being in a scruffy bit of woodland can be just as rewarding as climbing the highest mountain. He hopes to pass on this passion to others in the hope that they will become fulfilled and successful in their life.
