Ella Alpiger, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Ella grew up on a small cow farm with 13 cows in the Swiss Alps. She spent the summers milking the cows in a small alpine hut and exploring the nearby mountains. After a 10-year career as a professional World Cup ski racer for the Swiss Ski Team, she became a ski and Telemark instructor and UIMLA mountain leader. She studied Outdoor Sports Management and loves to be guiding in the mountains. She spends four month each year in Patagonia, teaching ski courses to future mountain guides and guests from all over the world.

In November and December Ella guides bike and trekking tours through the wild Patagonia and is back to Chamonix for the winter season. Chamonix is her European home base. In her free time there, she loves to climb and ski with her boyfriend, an Argentine mountain guide. You'll love meeting Ella on Alpenwild's Tour du Mont Blanc and on the Chamonix-Zermatt Haute Route.
