Emily Geldard, Trip Leader, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Emily grew up with a love of the outdoors; horse-riding and cycling whenever she could around the English countryside where she grew up.  Directed by her passion for the outdoors, Emily has now lived in Chamonix for 11 years and works part-time as a teacher as well as leading treks locally and further afield.  Although originally choosing to live in the Alps for the mountaineering and skiing, Emily has since developed her love of cycling and trail running, including taking part in longer running events such as the Mont Blanc Marathon and CCC which follows part of the famous Tour du Mont Blanc.

Having spent so much time in the area, Emily speaks French and knows the most beautiful parts of the Alps very well.  She loves sharing information about the Alpine places, people, and wildlife - and her background as a geographer also helps with this.

Emily looks forward to meeting you and sharing beautiful views, great food, and lots of fun on the trails!
