Jim Langley, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Jim has lived and worked in the Welsh mountains of Snowdonia for the past 23 years. His work has not only been in guiding groups to the majestic summits but has involved a rich mix of leading adventure activities and education, especially about nature. His work has also taken him around the world, planning expeditions in Asia, Mongolia, and South America and guiding across the Alps, Tanzania and Iceland.

Jim is a nature and alpine flowers specialist and runs training courses for outdoor leaders, guides, and instructors in developing their knowledge and understanding of the natural world. Since becoming a qualified UIMLA International Mountain Leader in 2017 he has spent his summers guiding groups in the Alps. This has focussed mainly in the French and Swiss Alps on some of the classic tours such as the Tour of Mont Blanc and Trekkers Haute Route but also in other, more remote regions too.

In his spare time Jim enjoys rock climbing, ski touring and alpinism and is an active member of a voluntary mountain rescue team back in Wales. He is looking forward to guiding you and sharing his expertise with you on your vacation!
