Enjoy authentic Switzerland at its holiday best. With the snow-capped Swiss Alps as your backdrop, you'll experience the treasured traditions of Europe on an active itinerary as you explore glistening Switzerland during the Christmas season.
You'll experience historic Basel, Lucerne, Lugano, Montreux, and Zurich lit up and decked out for the holidays. In local Christmas markets you’ll find one-of-a-kind treasures in winter settings as charming as any Christmas card. You'll be on hand for the music, lights, and wonderful traditions that make Christmas in Switzerland so memorable.
You’ll discover the origins of many of our most cherished Christmas traditions—Christmas trees, nutcrackers, twinkling lights, and gingerbread. Discover the magic in the Swiss Alps with this perfect start to your holiday season. Discovering the special seasonal foods within each region are always a highlight—Panettone, Anise cookies, mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts.
We visit the German, French, and Italian speaking regions so you'll experience more of Switzerland than you ever thought possible. You'll discover the varied traditions, holiday foods, music, and other festivities in culturally vibrant and charming Alpine towns.
Visiting Zermatt and the Matterhorn is always a special treat, and especially so during the Christmas season. We take the Gornergrat cogwheel railway to an elevation of over 10,000 feet where we have panoramic views of the Matterhorn, the Gorner Glacier, and the dozens of peaks surrounding us.
