Marieke Chalmers, Trip Leader, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Marieke moved in 2006 from the Netherlands to the UK to follow her dream to work in the outdoor industry. She started at The Outward Bound Trust in the beautiful Lake District, where she still lives and developed herself to a respected Freelance Outdoor Instructor who focuses on expedition work abroad.

Her high altitude mountaineering and guiding experience includes, the Santa Cruz Trek in Peru, Mt. Toubkal, Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya, Gran Paradiso, Elbrus and Mont Blanc.  Marieke loves working and playing in the mountains and if you ask her if she has done the Tour Du Mont Blanc, her answer will be ' Yes...on a mountainbike'!

She recently qualified as an UIMLA International Mountain Leader and is looking forward to sharing her love of the mountains with you in the Alps!
