Chantal Wiedmer, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

With her parents, Chantal immigrated twice to Canada, but at the age of seven moved back to Switzerland for good. She mostly grew up in a verry little mountain village close to Davos. After graduating from school, she had an apprenticeship as a nurse. In the following years, she worked here and there and traveled around northern America, spent three winters in the Yukon, mushing and guiding. Then got setteled in Switzerland, a family and a daugther. During this time, she started to guide at the Swiss Alpine Club. She loves skitouring, snowshoeing, hiking, mountainering, canoeing, and biking. In 2018, she began started her path to become a  professional hiking guide and graduated in January 2020. Her greatest joy is to see her guests happy in nature.
