Katrin Luthi - UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Katrin grew up in the Bernese Oberland, Bern, and spent a year in the USA as an exchange student. She has worked as a ski instructor in winter and her love for the mountains often leads her to high altitudes. Katrin studied classical music and now teaches piano at a college from spring to winter. She also works in a rope park. Today she often hikes with guests in the Bernese Oberland or in the Wallis. In winter she is out on snowshoes and on ski tours and in summer she likes to explore unknown beautiful places in Switzerland.

As a musician, Katrin loves hiking with her ears and listening to the birds and the wind. She loves fine food and good wine and is happy when she can show the guests a local specialty, her home country, the wonderful mountains, the peculiarities of the people or legends of the area. Katrin speaks German, English and French and of course "Scheizerdeutsch". Meeting people enriches her life and when a guest goes home fulfilled and satisfied after a tour, it makes her happy.
