Romain Laussac, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Born and raised near the French Alps, Romain's childhood memories are of harvesting edible mushrooms in the forest and hiking with his parents. His university studies in archeology and anthropology led him to South America to explore Inca history and cultures and led him to organize treks to Machu Picchu and Choquequirao.

Recent endeavors have taken him from Nepal to Norway, through Patagonia, Finland, Iceland, as well as the US and Canada. He’s been a dog sledding guide in Lapland, climbed Mount Blanc, and has done some exciting high-altitude treks in the Himalaya and the Andes. He’s also an avid climber, diver, and crystal seeker. He likes to spend time discovering new mountains while looking for natural treasures.

Romain is a certified UIMLA guide, has degrees in Tourism, Archeology, and is training to be an official guide lecturer. You’ll find him regularly hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Chamonix-Zermatt Haute Route.
