Simon Verspeak, Trip Leader, UIMLA Certified International Mountain Leader

Simon has been living and working in Snowdonia since studying for a degree in Geography. A keen mountaineer and skier, he is also qualified as a winter mountaineering and climbing instructor as well as an international mountain leader. This means he splits his year between teaching ice climbing and mountaineering in Scotland during the winter and time in the Alps as well as at home in the summer teaching rock climbing. He's spent multiple winter and summer seasons in Chamonix as well as leading extensively in the Himalayas. His background is in Outdoor education and is now involved in instructor education. He loves exploring new places in the Alps and further afield.
