A Message to Our Guests - Coronavirus

Our Commitment to You

When the time is right, we want to help you get back into nature. Alpenwild and our partners have been preparing for your return. We’re making changes, not just to respond to changing times, but to move forward and innovate, so you can have the most rewarding experience in the Alps.

Still worried about booking travel for 2021?

We get it. We’re all a bit shaken, but our dedication to our guests remains the same. While the ban for US travelers is still in effect, we will maintain our relaxed policies, so you can start planning your trip without risk:

•   As long as travel bans are still in effect, we’ve moved the final payment date from 90 days to just 45 days prior to departure so you’ll have more time to make the decision that’s best for you.

•   If you choose to postpone a trip you’ve already booked, we will apply 110% of your deposit for a future trip. You can use this 110% trip credit for any tour through December 2022.

•   We are providing 100% refunds for any tours we need to cancel.

What to Look Forward to

Alpenwild trips have always focused on small groups, fresh air, and wide-open spaces. We won’t lose that, but we’ll continue to adapt to the future of travel. Here's why Alpenwild trips are a great choice for future travel:

We believe the best way to experience the Alps is in a small group. No motor coaches. No megaphone. Just a few like-minded outdoor and travel enthusiasts.

Alpenwild will maintain the same standard of small, independently owned hotels. Small hotels put the safety and enjoyment of the guest first. The Clean and Safe measures as outlined by Switzerland Tourism will create a standard for all hotels that emphasize hygiene, distancing, and air circulation.

On our trips that include a shuttle to Chamonix will now have a maximum of 6 passengers. All drivers are equipped with personal protective equipment. All passengers will be required to wear a mask.

All our Trip Leaders will receive enhanced training on safety guidelines for preparing all picnic lunches. In addition to wearing gloves, they will also be wearing face coverings during food preparation.

Independent Travel

On an Alpenwild Self-Guided tour, you get to choose who you travel with, when you travel, and where you go. Your customized trip will take you on an unforgettable journey through the Alps, and we’ll be there for you every step of the way.

We want to create the best experience for you. Alpenwild trips are designed to custom fit the guest so they can be as social as you’d like to be. Rather have dinner alone one night? No problem. Our guide can reserve a separate space for you to dine or recommend another restaurant. We want to accommodate everyone the best we can.

We are grateful for the trust you have placed in us. Your safety, well-being, and personal enjoyment are our top priorities.

We’re a family-owned and operated company, and we’ve always considered our guests as part of the family. We are financially strong and secure. We will weather this storm and emerge quickly to a very bright future. We wish the same for you and your family.

Alpenwild has always been more than a travel company. We invest in people, experiences, and exploration. Our values have never changed. We’re here for you—we always have been—and we hope to see you soon in the Alps

Kind regards,
