The recommended airport for arrival is the Venice Marco Polo airport. Conveniently located near the airport is your group's meeting spot. On Day 1, meet the group outside the Hilton Garden Inn Venice Mestre San Giuliano at 11:00 am for a shuttle to Bovec, Slovenia. Your guide will meet you in Bovec, Slovenia. You can easily get to the Hilton Garden from the Venice airport. You can take a bus (there is a stop directly in front of the hotel), a taxi, or schedule the hotel shuttle to pick you up.
On the afternoon of Day 8 we will depart Lake Bled with an afternoon visit to Postojna Caves, followed by a farewell lunch. A shuttle back to the Hilton Garden Inn near the Venice Marco Polo airport is provided. The group will spend that night at the Hilton Garden to allow for an easy departure the next morning (Day 9). Shuttles from the hotel to the airport are provided on Day 9. Each guest can schedule their shuttle for whatever time they need. Note: the earliest shuttle leaves at 7:00am.

In Slovenia you will stay in independently-owned 4-star hotels with a superb restaurants and dining options nearby. On Day 4 we will stay in a comfortable mountain lodge with small dormitory-style rooms, bathrooms down the hall, electricity, hot water for showers, and a la carte dining, but with no cell service or internet. The final night will be in a 4-star hotel near Venice Marco Polo Airport.
