Exploring Croatia

Arrival

At the Venice Marco Polo Airport you will meet the tour guide and driven to our Motovun hotel on the Istrian Peninsula (about 4 hours) where we can drop off our bags and start exploring. The group will meet on the first day of the tour at 1:00 pm in the Arrivals Terminal at the Venice Marco Polo airport.

Departure

Enjoy breakfast, then transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for your flight home.

Accommodations

You will stay in carefully chosen inns, small 3 and 4 star hotels, with superb locations that capture the natural beauty and authentic charm of Croatia. 

Meals

The hallmark of an Alpenwild trip is the wonderfully authentic local cuisine, including buffet breakfasts, picnic lunches, and many dinner options. Alcoholic beverages and related gratuities are not included.

Croatian cuisine is centered around fish and meat, Please be sure to let us know if there is any type of seafood or meat that you are unable to eat. The dinners are typically a "set menu" that is the same for everyone, unless we make special requests beforehand. Accommodating a vegetarian diet is possible, but accommodating a vegan diet is difficult. You’ll have plenty of whole grain and fresh fruit options at breakfast. We will often have picnic lunches along the trails and occassionaly enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. NOTE: There are 4 dinners and 2 lunches that are NOT included with this tour. We can provide restaurant recommendations in the towns where these meals are not included.
